Will the future world see AIs and humans living together in peace?

The starship Delphi, with its crew of superintelligent androids, Siaree, an empathic human, and Ezekiel, an AI copy of a human brain, are on a peace-keeping mission to the planet Travoli, the home of an imperialistic race who treat AIs as slaves. The Delphi’s mission becomes one of rescue. Travolian ships have encountered a strange asteroid, which contains a complete world inside it, and harbors a deadly virus that turns humans into cannibalistic monsters. Ezekiel and the rest of the crew must find the source of the virus and neutralize it, then decide the fate of the asteroid.
